Wedding Photos | Dan & Angie

Dan and Angie got married last weekend on a perfectly sunny, warm day at a private golf course just south of Seattle. My wife, Kristy, photographed the wedding with me, and we had a lot of fun at this beautiful location with Dan and Angie.

If you look just to the right of Dan you can see Kristy working it. I thought about photoshopping her out, but I thought she ought to be in this shot for the blog.

And since I included the one of Kristy, here’s one of me with my man purse lens bag.

We spent last weekend with my wife’s family in Portland. It was nice having hot, sunny weather. It seems like I haven’t seen the sun in months, so it was a lot of fun taking pictures of my brother in law Jay and his friend Kim in the direct midday sun.

I love the reaction I got on this one. Jay’s look “are you for real?” and Kim just looking like a doll.

We had a lot of fun out in the country on this bff shoot. The girls were so easy to work with and natural in front of the camera. By the end of the shoot they said they want us to take their senior pictures, engagement pictures, wedding pictures, baby pictures, and family pictures! Yes, maybe they’re thinking a little too far ahead, but we’d love to have clients that come back to us at different stages in life.

Joel wanted to do something fun for his wife for Christmas, so we went out and got some pictures of his boys so he could make a calender and get prints. We had fun posing the dogs and running around with them.

Now that Christmas is over Joel said I could post these. His wife loved the pictures.

The Palmers wanted to get outdoor family pictures. We only had about a half hour before it started raining and it got too cold for baby Ella, but I was still able to get a bunch of great shots. How could I not with such a great looking family?

My brother Jon’s wife had a baby last week. I think the poor kid’s nick name will probably be Cletus. They weren’t sure what they were going to name him and wanted to get a reaction out of the family, so Jon sent a serious email letting everyone know stats on the new baby including his name “Cletus Luke.” I think his joke is going to backfire and the family is all going to call him Cletus for years to come.

His name ended up being Zachary, and he’s a cute little guy. My wife helped me set up and get some fun shots of him and new big sister Sarah.

When we were out taking pictures, I asked Jay what makes him smile. Other than girls, he said it was his sales pitch, so he gave it to me over and over and I could see He likes what he does. And what he’ll likely be doing when he gets out of school.

We went out on thanksgiving to Womens Forum and Vista House on the Colombia George in Oregon to get a few shots. Jenna was a lot of fun to work with, she knew how to move to get a lot of fun photos.

The wind was absolutly crazy at vista house, the gusts had to be in excess of 60mph, jenna and her mom had to walked together so they wouldn’t get blown into anymore rails.

PS. a bit of advice for anyone visiting the Vista House on a windy day, park so the wind blows your doors shut, instead of parking so the wind rips the door out of you hand and nearly blows it off, I discovered this one the hard way, and quickly corrected for Jenna and her Mother

Kristy (my wife) and I have had the opportunity to take pictures a couple times for Friends of Youth We love to be able to give pictures to young moms who don’t have very many pictures of their babies. We also got some shots of Kim (the amazing lady who manages the house) and her kids.

We’ll share some baby photos after he comes out.

Big #3 for Brent | Birthday Party Photos

Brent turned 3 and celebrated with friends and cousins at a Bellevue park. The little guy had a blast running around with cousins and friends, eating pizza and cake, opening presents, and trying to break open the pinata.

Now that’s how to smile!

After breaking the pinata it’s best to sit by yourself so none of the younger kids get your candy.
